Emergence of Norway maple leaves

Walking by this tree throughout the winter on my way to work, I knew it was a Norway maple because of the bark. However, I had forgotten its summer leaf color. I was thinking it would have green leaves, but it turned out to be one of the purple leafed cultivars.
