Swelling lilac buds

I photographed this lilac in the morning.  I knew it was a lilac because I know the location, I have seen it through the spring and summer. Later that afternoon, I saw a shrub in a less familiar location.  I did not know what it was, but then I realized the buds were the same as the ones I had photographed in the morning, so that one must be a lilac too.
